Description::
World Literature has both cultural and practical advantages. On the cultural level, the reading selections trace the developments of literary forms and subjects from the ancient Sumerian texts to contemporary world pieces. Special emphasis is placed on Western literatures, yet all types of genres are presented with their contrasting styles and artistic emphasis. Practically, the selected material offers the student an opportunity to use and improve upon his own literary skills, particularly his comprehension and writing abilities.
