Anyone going on the Paintball Club Trip to OA please remember to be at the fields no later than 8:15AM on Sunday morning.  Any questions please see Mr. Salandria.

 

Today, March 11th is a Dress Down Day proceeds ($2.00) benefit the Yearbook.  Students may wear jeans, sneakers, and a collared shirt.

 

There will be a Jefferson Awards Meeting for any team members who can attend. We will be completing the power point presentation. Please come to Mrs. Ballintyn’s room right after school to work on this project.

 

There will be a meeting of all Juniors during Homeroom on Monday. March 15th.  The meeting will take place in the auditorium and all Juniors are expected to attend.

 

SADD/YELL members are still needed to bring in baked goods for our St. Patrick’s Day Bake Sale to benefit Fr. Paul’s School in India. Please sign up in Mrs. Eastlack’s office in the Main Office.

 

RUGBY FANS: They are here!  The recently designed Rugby T-Shirts are in.  Stop by and pick one up today.  The Rugby Car Decals will be coming in shortly. 

 

Spring Morning Hoops: The gym will be open from 7:00AM- 7:50AM each Tuesday and Thursday morning for any students who would like to work out playing basketball. If you have any questions please see Mr. Gallagher or Mr. McGowan.  No Open Gym on Tuesday, March 23rd due to Sports Banquet set up. Open Gym mornings will conclude on May 27th.  This will provide 18 opportunities for play.  All participants should bring their gear to the gymnasium each morning and secure all valuables in your locked school locker.

 

Any Junior who would like to receive a discount on their prom ticket should see Mr. Szaroleta in Room B-162.

  

Salesianum will offer an SAT Prep Program on April 17th and April 24th. Classes will be in Critical Reading and Math from 9:00AM until 12:00PM each day. Students are expected to attend each session. The Class will be taught by Salesianum teachers and the cost is $185 which includes a prep book ($30 Value). Please sign up in the Guidance Office.

 

Congratulations go out to the Salesianum Roller Hockey team who won the JV championship on Wednesday night.  Our team swept through the playoffs, winning the play-in game over Monsignor Bonner, beating Cardinal O’Hara in the semi-finals and Upper Darby High School in the finals.   Sam Mattiola, Matt Walsh and Joe Doran were the top three scorers in the league during the playoffs. 

 

YPF Results - Salesianum's Fitness Club competed with Bishop McDevitt HS on Tuesday for the 16th consecutive year but came up just a few sit-ups short of victory.  Special thanks to Seniors Jesse Ware, Christian Bale, Nate Grande and Dave Adamovage for their unselfish effort.  Top score's were turned in by Sophomore's Jake Szrama, Matt Szczecinski, Joey Finocchiaro, Chris Recchione and Devin Harmon.  Other Sophomore's Dink Purnell, Selby Niumatuiwalu and Junior Mike McGreevy give the club high expectations for next year's event.

 

Attention Wrestlers: There will be a meeting today, March 11th at 2:45PM in the Wrestling Room for all wrestlers including the Developmental Team.  Please attend.  We have important information to give to you.  It is important that those who play a spring sport please stop by and pick up the information.
