FRESHMAN CLASS OFFICERS

Please find below the blurbs for our freshman class candidates. These blurbs share with you the candidates' positions on why they would make a good choice for office. Please read over each one carefully so that you can make the best choice possible. Thank you.

Billy Kerr- Vote Billy Kerr BK have it your way

Sean Tullier- I believe that I would serve my class in the best way possible by becoming an officer on student council. I would listen to my peers and address their thoughts and concerns. I myself do not really have any prime concerns as of right now but I am sure that one will be addressed at some point during the school year. I would like to make it my responsibility to let the staff and other people of higher authority in the school of these problems or concerns so that they may be solved or answered in a proper way, rather than having the student take the matter into their own hands. I am also a person that is easily approachable. I won't judge a classmate based on what concerns they have about their education.
On the other hand, I am laid back and a normal kid. I do not actually talk with elegance and absolute properness as it may seem in the paragraph above. I am a talkative person with most of the same interests as many of my classmates. I may feel the same way about a topic as they do. I may be in high phases, but I still do more than studying all day. I am involved in sports too. I have gotten to know many of my friends and classmates through my short time already here at the school. Many people have already talked to me and gotten to know me better.
I want my classmates to know that I am a good choice for student council. I am approachable, intelligent (to a certain extent), and mindful of our rights as students at Salesianum. I will hold my classmates concerns in high priority, and I will be mindful or their ideas and confidentiality. I hope my fellow classmates and friends find me as wonderful a choice for their Freshman Class Officer.

My name is Kyaire Wynn. I am in homeroom B082. I am running for freshman class officer because I believe I can help make the freshman year an even better one. I believe I have great leadership skills and I've been known to be a people person, which is helpful in a lot of ways. I have many plans for this freshman class. I hope to get us more involved in more school activities and have more school activities sponsored by us. I want us not only to be known as freshman at Salesianum but men here at Salesianum. Freshmen aren’t just the "newbies" we are people who can help make this school a better place. I want to change the way freshman are viewed. Not just as people who get in the upperclassmen's way but people who deserve and belong to be here at this school. I also plan for our freshman class to do more such as more field trips. We could also do class community service. I have many things planned and I hope that our class gives me that chance.

My name is Brendan Nucifora (Homeroom B245) and I would like to run for a position on the student council. My reason for running as a class officer is because I want to be more involved with the decisions that are made on the student’s behalf at Salesianum. Some plans I have, if elected for this upcoming year are more dress down days that are more comfortable. Business Casual Days which would be all Fridays from March to June with a new Salesianum golf shirt with school pants or jeans. All proceeds would be donated to charities of the school’s choice. Lastly we could have a Going Green Day, where the whole school could dedicate a whole day to clean up local areas. These are only a few of the many ideas that I have in store for you Salesian Gentlemen. I wish the best of luck to the other candidates running for a position. Thank you.

Luke Bader- I think that I would make an excellent because of many reasons. I have experience because I was Student Council President me eigth grade year at grade school. I always speak my mind and take initiative with the things that I believe in. I am a very open person and like to hear all of the ideas that other students think of. I am fair and just, gentle and strong, smart and fun. If I became the Class of 2012 President, I would do my best to make sure that we are always..."Fired Up!"

John Burns- I am running for class officer to help the students and teachers, and meet the entire freshman class. I also am running because I am interested in helping the teachers and help set up for all activities. I want people to know who I am and I want to be the guy that everyone knows. I plan to help the class by setting up school dances. I also plan to help the class and the teachers with school or anything they need. If teachers need my help I will be happy to assist any teacher. Thank you for giving me the chance to run for class officer.

Jacob Horah- My fellow students I am ready to be and would be very proud to be a representative for the class of 2012. If elected onto the council I will do everything in my power to work for the happiness of each and every student in the freshman class. Vote for Jacob Horah today!!

Patrick Bingham-I would make a great president because I will bring real change to the Freshmen Class. I will do everything in my power to get what the freshmen class wants. So remember,

Vote Bingham

Change is Coming.

Case Machulski- I think I should be president because I believe that one of the largest problems in our country today is that the president has no real forms of communication with the general public. I think I could solve this problem in Salesianum school by being one of the general public. I play Freshman football and in the fourth week of school I know almost every freshman roaming these hall ways. And almost all of them know me.

Tom Welde- I think I would make a great freshman class office member. My credentials include being a leader. I have captained several sports teams in the past. I am approachable. I feel that my classmates would not have any difficulty discussing their concerns with me. I am comfortable in public speaking. If elected I will attend the meetings and do everything to the best of my ability.

"If you see something you like, take it and make it better."

Thank you for considering me for student counsel.

Dylan Miller- “Vote for me, Dylan Miller, as class officer because it's not what this school can do for me, but what I can do for this school."

Matthew Tankle- I would like to be an officer for the Freshmen class. I am proud to be part of the Salesian brotherhood and would like to represent our Freshman class at the student council meetings. Leadership and character are important qualities of a class officer. I feel that I have these characteristics and would be proud to represent you.

Colin Colburn- I am just your average guy I’m not here for any popularity contest or to have something that looks good on a collage application. I am here to represent you and to make sure you get the most out of your experience here at Sallies. IT’S NOT ABOUT ME IT’S ABOUT YOU. I have a great work ethic, I’m very organized, and I’ll try to make decisions that are best for the Whole of the class. I’m open to taking new ideas from anyone and will encourage people to give me ideas to try to get everyone involved. My theme for you is to get involved, be involved and to experience everything Sallies has to offer. Take Hold of the spirit and the experience and Never Let Go. This year I will try to get you all involved in the traditions and the atmosphere of Sallies. As your representative I will make sure that every question you have is answered and you are given all the information you need to get the Full experience out of Sallies. Vote Colin Colbourn For Your Representative Today.

Brendan Picciotti- I am Brendan Picciotti and if elected, I will address and solve all and any problems that the freshman may have. The freshman class needs someone who they can talk to, and many of you may know that I am a very sociable guy. The president of your freshman class must be able to overcome obstacles and solve problems by thinking deep. Some of you may have seen me before at lunch or in the halls completing either the 2x2x2, 3x3x3, 4x4x4, or 5x5x5 Rubik’s Cubes, which shows you that I can solve problems by thinking critically and logically. As Class president I promise to solve all of your problems step-by-step, as I do with the Rubik’s cube, and make your freshman year here, at Salesianum School, more enjoyable.
