Sacred Scripture

The study of Sacred Scripture involves reading the Old Testament first semester and the New testament second semester.  The text book being used is the Journey through the Old Testament and Journey through the New Testament.  Home works are to be completed  via the computer or hand written.  They make up twenty percent of the student grade.  After each chapter, there are review questions which must be completed before the test  is given for each chapter. This will be sixty percent of the student grade.  Class participation which includes daily involvement in the class and answering review questions before exams will be twenty percent of the class grade.

The first week of class the students will learn  about the life St. Francis de Sales the patron of Salesianum. Sacred Scripture had a profound influence on Francis from the age of ten.  He learned to live his motto "live Jesus" from the study of the Bible.  All through the year the students will be encouraged to learn and apply the teachings of St. Francis de Sales to their lives.
