I have served Salesianum
School in many capacities for the past 31 years. I am a 1969 graduate
of Salesianum. I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees from West
Chester State College in the areas of Health and Physical Education. I
taught elementary school physical education in my early tenure. I came
back to Salesianum in 1976 to begin my teaching and Coaching at my Alma
Mater. I have taught Health and Physical Education, served as the Department
Chair for the Department, and enjoyed coaching. I have coached Football,
Basketball and Track at Salesianum I am presently the Dean of Students
and Assistant Principal and have been in this job for the past 24 years.
I oversee the student climate and life in my position, and work closely
with the STARTeam for at risk students. I am also busy helping make sure
our facilities are kept in good working order, through my work with the
Facilities Staff. I can be seen most days about the campus at any time
during the day or early evening. I am also the Head Basketball Coach and
see this as an extension of my teaching ministry. Salesianum Basketball
enjoys a great reputation as our school has been in the top 5 in the State
of Delaware in categories such as number of Championship Game appearances,
total State Tournament games played, and games won, and number of games
played in the Bob Carpenter Center. I enjoy all outdoor activities such
as landscaping, caring for my lawn and gardens as well as surfing, fishing,
and skiing. As you can see from the photo the stripers run in the early
spring and I am often seen bringing back one from the beach. Leisure time
at the shore with family and friends is a special time for me.
