My Philosophy of Education
As a Salesian Educator, I am certain that our Patron Francis DeSales has provided us with meaningful ways to approach the awesome task of educating the whole person. The mind, body, spirit are all part of how I view our responsibility to our families. It is very important to me to be available to the students and school community. I make it a point of being on site early and staying late to allow for ease of access to my office and time. I know our mission is being upheld daily inside and outside the classroom walls, and I keep a close hand on the pulse of the life of Salesianum School. Salesianum continues to educate the whole person as evidenced by our broad based Religious Education curriculum including service projects both in and out of the walls of school. We challenge the students physically with a rigorous program of curricular physical education, a broad intra-mural program of sports, and activities, and a top inter-scholastic athletic program. The lifeblood of our school is our students and the wholesomeness with which they are educated. I believe strongly in their goodness, and never underestimate how high they can soar both inside and outside the classroom. The benchmark of the school however remains being true to the mission of Living Jesus. We do this in a unique way blending the Salesian Charism of our Patron DeSales, and remaining true to the mission of Catholic Schools. It is very rewarding to work daily with such good people, who go on to do extra-ordinary things in the ordinary world of their lives. Salesianum and I remain committed to doing good and being good.
