My family consists of wife Mary of 29 years, daughters Jessica, a graduate of Drexel University and production manager at WYBE television in Philadelphia, and Julia, a Doctor of Physical Therapy working at The Back Clinic in Wilmington. This is a photograph of us on our family vacation in Hawaii.
Hobbies include tennis, volleyball, Ping-Pong, biking, billiards, and chess.
I run an after school chess club, and I am in a band with 4 other faculty
members, Tom Cleary, my brother Dan, Mark Quinn, and Nick Vavala. All 5 of
us are Sallies teachers and therefore, we are
called "8th & West". I am moderator of the chess club and also the coach of the math teams that compete statewide
in a league with over 70 teams. We have won the state championship 5 times in
the last 29 years and have never placed lower than 10th in all those years.
