Educating young men in the example of the gentleman saint, Francis De Sales.

Salesianum School is an all male college preparatory Catholic high school. The school serves students from a four state area including, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. Salesianum is open to any student whom we feel can take advantage of our academic program. Above all else, what sets Salesianum apart is our approach to "Educating young men in the example of the gentleman saint, Francis de Sales."

Eighth grade students should complete an application for admission available on  the application tab. A completed application registers the student for Admission and the Entrance and Placement Exam, which will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at 8:00 AM. A practice exam is open to all 7th graders. This exam is held in the spring. The practice exam is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 8:00 AM.

Admission to Salesianum is based on a student's performance on the Entrance Exam, their elementary school record, recommendations from previous teachers and principals, and any legacy the student may have.

Our Fall Open House is scheduled on Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 12:30-3:30 PM.

Interested 6th, 7th, & 8th grade students, transfer students, and their families are invited to attend.
Families do not need to pre-register for the Open House. Students will register at check-in on the day of the event. Interested families who are unable to make this date and would like to request a personal tour of the school, should contact Director of Admissions at (302) 654-2495 x158.

Transfer students are welcome to apply for admission to Salesianum either for the start of the second semester in January, or at the beginning of the new school year in September. Salesianum does not accept students who wish to transfer in for their senior year. The exception to both of these rules would be for families who are moving into the Wilmington area.

Interested families should contact the Director of Admissions by April if they are planning a transfer for the next school year.
